LRDG: Resourcing the Movement

All things being equal and balanced is a desirable state. As well-meaning good human beings, we all profess to want equality and balance in our lives. We all seek and value peace and prosperity. We want the best for our loved ones. We know there’s great merit in being generous. And yet we know that the distribution of what makes life meaningful is not working for people who look like us and our ancestors. It’s out of balance. It’s not equal and certainly not just.

At Love Resource Development Group we know the reality is millions of people live outside of those desirable states of being. They live and exist on the edge of accessing and owning what the world has to offer. Justice escapes people living with less. Resourcing the movement means focusing our work on racial equity, destroying caste, and building the ready and free flow of resources to Black and Brown people.

While our focus is to elevate and support Black- and Brown-led organizations and businesses to the mission, values, and principles they deem essential to their success, we also work with white-led organizations that are truly committed to relinquishing their power and privilege to bring equity, equality, and balance to their areas of influence.

Our Team

LRDG brings teams of experts together from business, social, and environmental sectors to provide clients with directives and strategies that result in resources and applications to achieve “balance and equality” as a desirable state of being. All of our consultants are people of color who understand first-hand the importance of the work we do.

Ruby Love, CEO

Ruby Love is a transformational business leader and founder of Love Resource Development Group, LLC. She is an entrepreneur and strategist known for advocating for socially responsible business and community organizations. Her career has afforded relationships that have brought millions of much-needed philanthropic support to the arts, education, STEM, social services, and advancing philanthropy. Her clients have included Pacific Lutheran University, Xavier University, Girl Scouts USA, Wilberforce University, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Community to Community, Children of the Setting Sun, Front and Centered, and others.

Maleah Jackson, Associate

Maleah is Principal and Managing Consultant of Makari Consulting, an organizational development and management consulting firm specializing in business process and efficiency solutions in Seattle, Washington. Having worked in both public and private sectors, Maleah has over 15 years experience working and developing efficient processes for a broad scope of companies. Her expertise in identifying more efficient ways to work has yielded employees and employers increases in time, production and profitability. Maleah has been active in her community since high school on issues of racial equity and the intersectionality that follows and continues to host community conversations on race, equity and leveraging access and opportunity to create equity in business, community, education and policing. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and resides in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Julie Pham, Associate

Julie is the CEO of CuriosityBased, an organizational development practice specializing in helping teams foster curiosity and inclusion in the workplace. She is an award-winning community leader, scholar, and journalist. She has served on the Social Venture Partners Seattle board, as the co-chair of the Community Involvement Commission (City of Seattle), and as Vice Chair of the Leadership Tomorrow Curriculum Committee. She was honored as the 2019 Female Founders Alliance Champion Awards in the Advocate category and was a member of the 2018 Harvard Business School's Young American Leaders Program, a 2015 German Marshall Memorial Fellow, and a 2011 Puget Sound Business Journal 40 under 40 honoree. She earned her PhD in history at Cambridge University as a Gates Cambridge Scholar and graduated magna cum laude from UC Berkeley, where she studied history.

Aurora Martin, Associate

Aurora is a social innovator, leader, and strategist developing partnerships to re-imagine equity and justice to invent a virtuous cycle of public good. Inspired by a commitment to build community and advance civil society, she founded PopUPJustice, a social justice startup that aims to serve as a collaborative entity with various independent creatives and experts across sectors, incubating ideas for social impact. She has over 20 years of experience working for social justice, a majority of which she served as a public interest lawyer and executive nonprofit leader, and now works on a diversity of social impact projects at the intersection of equity, justice, art and culture.

Naho Shioya, Associate

A strategic thinker through equity lens, Naho facilitates organizational transformation work in nonprofit, public, and private sectors. She is a thoughtful bridge builder with the aptitude to connect our culturally and socially diverse communities and engage people from all walks of life and inspire them through compassion and creativity. She has successfully engaged various organizations and partners in conversations on Race and Social Justice issues and facilitated many workshops and training sessions. With over 20 years of experience, she is well versed in designing and facilitating workshops to fit the need of the organization,
developing, and implementing Race and Social Justice Initiatives, creating and guiding Racial Equity teams, conducting organizational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Assessments, guiding organizational strategic plan development, and facilitating Race and Social Justice Work Plans creation. She is also skilled in navigating non-profit management strategy and board relations.

Maile Hadley, Associate

Maile connects all of her work to equity of access to high quality educational opportunities for minoritized youth, families, and communities. After working to scale the impact of Equal Opportunity Schools, Maile returned her focus on the communities of Washington state and to her passion for science, technology, engineering, and especially math (STEM). Maile has launched new initiatives with Technology Alliance to promote computer science through student-created apps in Washington State, with a strong focus on rural and underrepresented communities. She has also worked as Program Officer with Washington STEM. She joined Zeno in August of 2016 as the Programs + Operations Director to expand and codify the emerging early learning program and to build a staff culture that connected with the community. In October 2020 she became Zeno’s Executive Director. As Executive Director Maile strives to ensure the voices of the communities Zeno reaches are heard and amplified while also ensuring that racial justice is included in all that Zeno does . Maile has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and coursework towards a master’s in Pastoral Studies from Seattle University. She serves on the board of directors for two Seattle-based nonprofits – Look, Listen, + Learn and Neighborhood House.

Faduma Fido, Associate

Faduma is passionate about public service and has dedicated the past 10 years to community and economic development by working with numerous non-profits, city, and county departments. She believes equitable policy design coupled with community-oriented programming is one of the most effective ways to mitigate lack of resources for under-served communities. Faduma has a Bachelor’s in Economics and English from the University of Washington and a Master's in Public Administration from Seattle University. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Karinda Harris, Associate

Karinda Harris most recently worked as the Senior Community Relations Manager at Vulcan Real Estate, leading their local community relations strategy and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Previously, she worked in community relations and external affairs roles for New Seasons Market and the City of Seattle.

Karinda is a Seattle native, growing up in the Beacon Hill and Madrona neighborhoods, and most proud of her community involvement. She is an active member of the Seattle Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., serves on the Board of Directors for Arte Noir and the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, and volunteers on the Advisory Council for Garfield Community Center and the Advisory Board for Denkyem Co-op.

She is a connecter, and her passion is the intersection of social capital, strategy, and social impact. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Howard University, and a Master of Public Administration from Seattle University.

Gloris Estrella, Associate

Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, NY, Gloris embodies a unique blend of cultural influences that have shaped her deep connection to the community. Fueled by her unwavering commitment to giving back, Gloris holds a BA in Economics from DePauw University, and an MPA with a nonprofit management certificate from the University of Washington, Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, both supported by the Posse Foundation. With a passion for driving positive change and advancing social impact causes, Gloris has successfully developed and executed strategic partnerships that have made a meaningful difference in communities. Her tireless dedication is grounded in a set of core values that prioritize equity, empathy, and empowerment. Beyond her professional commitments, she is a certified vinyasa yoga instructor, using mindfulness to find balance amidst the hustle of life. In her downtime, she cherishes hiking adventures, experimenting with cooking new dishes, savoring various cuisines, and taking strolls with her dog, Peppe.
